Units will be transferred to the customer’s Demat account on the same day / next day of payment, depending on option adopted. A. Once a Bond matures, how do I get my money back?

For Bonds/Debentures, the money automatically gets remitted to your bank account  attached to Demat account on the date of maturity. No need to give any sought of request.

The Interest payouts from Bonds get credited to the Bond Holder’s Bank account that is attached to his/her Demat account.

Generally, there wouldn’t be a delay in interest payouts. Exemptions are public holidays or unforeseen circumstances. In case the issuer delays in paying interest or principal amount on maturity, then the issuer may have to pay some additional interest as a penalty along with the due interest amount to the bondholder. The specifics around this delay in payment are explicitly mentioned in the Information Memorandum of every Bond.

If the issuer doesn’t exercise the call date, the investor continues to get interest payouts until bonds mature or are called back by the issuer later.

To change the bank details, you need to reach your Demat provider; they will facilitate it.

The details like IP dates, IP amount, and cash flow are shown in the deal sheet executed at the time of purchase. Alternatively, an investor can read up the Information Memorandum of a Bond to know about these details. AK Investment provides regular early alerts for interest payout, through emails, to enable you to manage your fund flows. The AK Investments app , help you to track the payout, TDS and maturity date on the go.

If you want to sell Bonds before maturity, you can put them up for sale on BSE/NSE. Alternatively, you can reach out to AK Investments. AK Investments will help you to sell your bonds.
